Thanks Burberry… Kisses Google

The very awesome Burberry Kisses campaign debuts today, 15 minutes ago to be exact! It is part of Google’s Art, Copy & Code initiative, which aims to humanise technology through emotive digital experiences… love thy technology today is more like it!
This particular initiative uses a new technology that allows users to capture and send a kiss to anyone in the world, using only their phone or web cam. What this nifty little piece of tech does is take the lip contact from your real life kiss and transfers it into a digital kiss print (think thumb-print, but for your lips!) This then gets sealed in a digital letter for you to send to anyone, anywhere in the world! A-MA-ZING!
“Burberry Kisses began with the idea of giving technology a bit of heart and soul, and using it to unite the Burberry family across the world - by telling a story that makes the digital personal,” explains Burberry chief creative officer Christopher Bailey. “We’re constantly thinking about how we translate the emotion of what we create and experience in the real world into the digital space, whether that’s capturing the energy and excitement of a live gig, the hum and buzz of anticipation before a runway show, or just the feeling you get when you pull on your trench coat on a rainy morning.”
Fret not pretties the process is not complicated at all, head on over to [kisses.burberry.com(kisses.burberry.com), plant a kiss on your phone screen and watch it transform into a digital kiss print. You then have the option to select the shade of lipstick for your lips (from Burberry’s latest beauty collection, obvsies) to someone you love. Once sent, watch as your kiss is transported from wherever you are in the world, to wherever in the world you recipient is, through 3D city skylines, using Google Earth technologies, eventually landing in your loves’ inbox. There is even a clever, interactive map which allows you to view and track all the Burberry Kisses being delivered across the world!

Have fun now see!
